FuelCell Energy, Inc. recently announced that the U.S. Navy has exercised its
option to add an additional 250-kilowatt (kW) Direct Fuel Cell power
plant at the U.S. Marine Corps training facility at Camp Pendleton,
CA.
According to FuelCell Energy, the new unit will be added to the Navy's original 500-kW order
placed last fall. The systems are scheduled for installation this
summer by LOGANEnergy®.
"FuelCell Energy has worked very hard to develop the advanced DFC300MA units
going into Camp Pendleton, and they are sure to raise the standards
for clean, reliable and efficient FuelCell Energy services,"
said LOGANEnergy® CEO Sam Logan. "We are proud to partner with
FuelCell Energy in delivering projects that clearly demonstrate for
all to see the promise and power of Fuel Cell technology."
