In 2005, LEC opened a United Kingdom subsidiary, known as LOGANEnergy Ltd. (LEL), following a successful fuel cell demonstration project with the U.S. Embassy. That was followed in early 2007 by engagements for three fuel cell feasibility studies culminating with orders for three projects that total 405 kilowatts of capacity. In mid-April this year, Scottish and Southern Energy, LLC joined LEL as a new investment partner to help spur growth across Europe in the years ahead. LOGANEnergy Corp. retains a 58% stake in the European enterprise.
