Logan Energy awarded first contract for Levenmouth Community Energy Project

Edinburgh-based Logan Energy has been awarded the first contract in the ambitious Levenmouth Community Energy Project.

Bright Green Hydrogen, the initiative’s lead partner, has appointed Logan Energy, specialists in providing energy solutions incorporating electroylsers, fuel cells and hydrogen technologies to deliver key components of the project which will investigate the potential of hydrogen as a future fuel.

The four-year project will see the Hydrogen Office in Methil developed into a world-class demonstrator of hydrogen applications generated from renewable sources. Hydrogen will be both: stored at the site and reconverted to electricity at times when on-site wind and solar generation is low, helping to offset the intermittency of renewable energy; and compressed and stored for 350bar refuelling of vehicles.  Full Release
